On Sunday 11th March, 2018 Rt.Hon. Prince Arua Arunsi, OFR a well known man and political head from nkporo has declared his interest to contest for PDP's nomination to enable him run for the seat of Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency in the 2019 General Election.

He made this known in a meeting of PDP Stakeholders in his country home at Amurie Nkporo.

Amidst other related issues, the house accepted and promised to give him the needed support to making sure that his dream becomes a reality.

Recall that Prince Arua Arunsi was elected into the House of Representatives in 2007 (for 2007-2011 session), but the mandate was initially taken away from him in favour of Hon. D.K. Uduma from Ohafia Community. It took divine intervention for him to
reclaim the mandate about mid way into the session, from where he was graciously re-elected by his constituents in 2011 (for 2011-2015).

In attendance at the meeting were His Excellency Rt.Hon.Sir Ude Oko Chukwu, Engr. Ndukwe O. Agu, Chief Okoro Agha Ude, Hon. Otuu Irukwu, Hon. Obuji O. Obuji, Chief Okoronkwo Ifegwu, Hon. Obasi O. Onwukah, Dr. Oji Uka Oji, Hon. O.C. Kalu (Snr.), 5 Honourable Councillors representing the five ABSIEC Wards in Nkporo and so many others.
